How to configure the available languages for your hintcatcher reporting office

The languages available for the reporting office of your hintcatcher system can be configured in the system by yourself.

Configure available languages for your reporting office

  1. In case management, switch to the “Settings” page
  2. In the “Settings of your reporting office” section, select the sub-item “Adjust available languages for reporting office”: Option to adjust the languages of your reporting office
  3. Select the languages from the language pool in which your reporting office should be available to your whistleblowers Selection of the available languages of the reporting office
  4. Save the changes

Your reporting office is now available in the selected languages.

Automatic language selection for whistleblowers

Your reporting office is automatically displayed in the language that suits a whistleblower when accessing it, given that your hintcatcher system is configured to allow this. The language is selected based on the whistleblower’s browser language settings.

An example: if you have configured German and English as the available languages of your reporting office, the reporting office behaves as follows:

  • If a whistleblower with browser language German accesses the reporting office -> reporting office is displayed in German
  • If a whistleblower with the browser language English accesses the reporting office -> reporting office is displayed in English
  • If a whistleblower accesses the reporting office with a different browser language setting -> the reporting office is displayed in English (as a fallback)

In addition, whistleblowers can manually change the language of the reporting office if required. Available for manual selection are the languages configured in your hintcatcher system.
